Standortförderung Baselland has been operational since 2016. Since then, various site developments and projects have been initiated and implemented. After around ten years, it is time to review the tasks and their implementation and draw conclusions for the future.

Location promotion launches company survey on the most important challenges for Baselland as a business location
Demographic change, digitalization, globalization and other megatrends are presenting companies and the business location with new challenges. With its wide range of advisory and support services, the Standortförderung Baselland is committed to ensuring that companies find the optimal framework conditions for the development of their business activities.
The new location promotion strategy 2025-2028 is intended to make its services fit for the future. With a company survey, the location promotion agency now wants to incorporate the assessments of companies and other institutions active in the location into this process.
Thomas Kübler, Head of Location Promotion: “We want to find out first-hand what challenges companies see for the development of Baselland as a business location and where they see a particular need for action.”
The results of the survey will be incorporated into the further strategy process. The Institute for Systemic Management and Public Governance at the University of St. Gallen (IMP-HSG) provides expert support for the survey and strategy process.
The new location promotion strategy 2025-2028 is due to be finalized in spring 2025.
