NEW REGIONAL POLICY (NRP) IN THE CANTON OF BASEL-LANDSCHAFT

With the New Regional Policy (NRP), the federal government and the cantons are jointly promoting economic development in rural areas, mountain regions and border regions.

For the 2024-2027 funding period, the canton of Basel-Landschaft is launching its own NRP implementation program for the first time. The funding priorities are in the areas of trade, industry, services and tourism, with a particular focus on the local economy and the cross-cutting issues of digitalization and sustainability.
This offers regional players the opportunity to work together on projects or to develop project ideas for their region.

Objectives

The projects pursue the following overarching objectives:

  • Strengthening competitiveness,

  • Increase in added value and

  • Preservation or creation of jobs in the rural regions of the canton of Basel-Landschaft
